Welcome to the November 2010 ATS (NSW) Newsletter
It has been a busy month at the ATS with the NSW Premiers Export Awards, the ATS Annual Patrons' Awards being held- Congratulations TigerSpike and IPscape! We have also welcomed four new members and have been busily working behind the scenes getting the ATS ready for a big 2011.
 
TigerSpike & IPscape take out the ATS Patrons’ Awards
TigerSpike and IPscape were announced as winners of the The Patrons’ Award for Outstanding Export Achievement and Patrons’ Rising Star Award on 11 November at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
 
NSW Treasurer and Minister for State and Regional Development Eric Roozendaal congratulated the two winners as well other five finalists for both export awards.
 
“Digital technology and broadband internet are transforming the way the world conducts business. With cutting-edge companies like these, NSW will confidently remain a leader at the forefront of the global knowledge economy,” he said.

ATS companies shine at Premier’s 2010 NSW Exporter of the Year Awards
Eight current and alumni members of the NSW Government's Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) featured in the winner's circle at the Premier’s 2010 NSW Exporter of the Year Awards on 28 October.
 
The NSW division of the national ATS program, run by Industry & Investment NSW, assists and promotes the State's most outstanding new technologies to national and international markets.
 
Sydney software development company and ATS member Atlassian was named winner of the Premier’s 2010 NSW Exporter of the Year Award.
Simavita announces European distribution agreement
On October 20, Simavita and Abena signed a commercial agreement for the distribution of SIMTM throughout Europe and the UK. The Abena group is headquartered in Denmark and is among the market leaders in the protective healthcare industry producing a wide variety of incontinence products. Their products are sold around the world through a wide distribution network of subsidiary companies and specialist distributors and they an annual turnover in access of 300 million EUR.
