Congratulations to Nuix Pty Ltd, winner of both the Australian Technology Showcase NSW Patrons' Award for Outstanding Export Achievement and Emerging Exporter at the 2009 Premier's NSW Export Awards dinner.

ATS NSW Patrons' Award





Nuix, who develops world leading software to assist corporate investigations, has won a prestigious Industry & Investment NSW technology export award.

Nuix Pty Ltd won the 2009 Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) Patrons' Award on October 21, ahead of five other finalists.

Nuix has achieved outstanding export results despite difficult global conditions. In the first six months of 2009, 83 per cent of Nuix's sales were achieved overseas and the company recorded its best two business quarters to date.

Top NSW exporters recognised
NSW’s top exporters were announced at the 2009 Premier’s NSW Export Awards dinner held in Sydney last month. ATS member and recent ATS Patrons’ Award winner Nuix, as well as two Alumni companies ResMed and NetBased Software trading as Atmail, were presented with awards.

Magellan Technology



ATS Patrons' Award nominee Magellan Technology’s Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has been successfully deployed at the HRD Antwerp Institute of Gemmology in Antwerp, Belgium.

Fluorotechnics


Flurotechnics, trading as Gelcompany, wins $230,000 German government innovation grant.

ATS Alumni & Patrons' Award nominee Fluorotechnics Limited through its German subsidiary Gelcompany GmbH has been awarded a €140,000 grant by the central German government under a program supporting innovations by small and medium size companies.

BluGlass


Australian semiconductor innovator BluGlass Limited has announced that the company has been awarded $4.96 million of Commonwealth Government funding to assist with the development and commercialisation of its high efficiency thin-film solar cell technology.

Tech23

Industry & Investment NSW and the Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) supported a new innovation event, Tech23, at Surry Hills on October 27.

Tech23, organised by Slattery IT, brought together innovators and experienced entrepreneurs and investors to spark a dialogue on potential business opportunities.

NSW Science Leveraging Fund - Expressions of Interest  now open
The NSW Science Leveraging Fund (SLF) call for Expressions of Interest is open, with total funding of up to $5 million available.

Wanted: Australia’s greatest innovators
The search is on again for Australia’s greatest innovators - people who have created successful products or services from brilliant engineering ideas or inventions. Nominations are being sought for the Innovation Heroes Award, bestowed each year by Sydney University’s Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering.
