Atlassian was praised not only for its business success, but also its commitment to the community and the wellbeing of its staff.

Following a short period of market development, BQT UAE has received contractual letters of intent for a prestigious tower and major hotel in Doha City.
Each project involves the installation and commissioning of the company’s SmaX access control, CCTV and intercom. The hotel will include over 170 BQT readers connected to SmaX and will constitute the largest SmaX system so far installed in the Middle East region.

ATS Alumni member Argus Solutions has announced that it has integrated the Sagem Sécurité fingerprint technology into its Cornerstone security product to provide a dedicated iris and finger based identity management solution. Sagem Sécurité is a high-technology company in the SAFRAN Group, an international supplier of identity systems. The integration of the technologies will assist customers that are not able to use iris recognition technology.

ATS Alumni member Zylotech Ltd and IBM Australia Ltd have signed a business partner agreement as part of a new approach to deliver Zylotech’s IP based surveillance solutions to market. Zylotech, an ASX-listed technology company, specialises in the provision of enterprise surveillance solutions for critical infrastructure in government, defence and industry-based applications.

G’Day USA: Australia Week 2009 is a festival running from January 13-24, 2009 that showcases the best of Australian culture, business and tourism. For five years, Australia Week has brought Australian food and wine, travel, film, arts, culture, fashion and business to a US audience. With over 15,000 participants in 2008, it is now the largest annual foreign country promotion in the United States.
The aim of Australia Week is to demonstrate Australia as an innovative and sophisticated economy, with leading edge research and development and world-class technologies. The program highlights Australia as a desirable place to source innovative goods and services.

“Online investment portfolio modelling and manufacturing platform" technology developed by Sydney-based Financial Simplicity Pty Ltd has been accepted into the ATS program. The product supports personalised portfolio rebalancing and trade allocation solutions for fund managers, stockbrokers, investment platforms and financial advisers. By simplifying portfolio modelling and reconciliations, administration costs are significantly reduced. The product is already being used by the local financial services industry, and inquiries have been received from US interests. The company's website is www.financialsimplicity.com.au .

Solar Dryers Australia |

"Solar Hybrid Timber Drying Kiln" technology, developed by Bellingen-based Solar Dryers Australia Pty Ltd, has been accepted into the ATS program. The technology captures solar energy and stores it in water. This energy is then extracted via a heat exchanger for transfer to the insulated drying kiln.
Unlike traditional greenhouse kilns, the heat can be stored and maintained overnight, therefore reducing costs. The company believes that this method of drying timber is a world first. The company's website is www.solardry.com.au

E-Nose Pty Ltd |

"Continuous Odour Pollution Monitor" technology, developed by ATP-based E-Nose Pty Ltd, has been accepted into the ATS program. E-Nose designs and manufactures electronic noses - chemical sensor array devices (E-Noses) - that monitor, identify and measure smells and other airborne chemicals continuously and in real time.
The process was developed from research at the University of NSW, and has many potential applications including air pollution monitors, medical diagnostics, and security. Previously, odour measurement devices have been limited to very expensive delicate laboratory instruments requiring specialist operators. A particularly promising application of the technology is the automatic detection of fumes from graffiti in risk locations such as railway stations. The company's website is www.e-nose.info

"OCA Media Communication Software" technology, developed by Surry Hills-based Noggin Pty Ltd, has been accepted into the ATS program. The software is an online system for managing contacts and for communicating across a range of media. It can target messages geographically and broadcast them simultaneously by email, fax, voice, and SMS and MMS formats. It includes contact management, mapping, reporting, analysis, and document management tools.
