It has been another successful month for ATS Members and Alumni. Digisensory Technology secured a contract with the Australian Jockey Club and Atlassian reached a milestone of $100 million of accrued revenue. See our Latest News section for more details on these wins and other success stories.


CeBIT Australia

CeBIT Australia 2009 will be held at the Sydney Convention Centre from May 12-14 with the NSW Department of State and Regional Development again a key supporter. Now in its eighth year, Australia's largest information and communications technology (ICT) event will exhibit the entire spectrum of ICT products and services to the marketplace.

DigiSensory Technologies

ATS member Digisensory Technologies Pty Ltd has won a contract with the Australian Jockey Club to install 35 of its smart CCTV cameras at Randwick Racecourse.

Atlassian

ATS member Atlassian Pty Ltd has reached a milestone by breaking $100 million in accrued revenues. Headquartered in Sydney, Atlassian is a software development company that specialises in developing enterprise software which it markets via the internet.

Flipscreen


Assistance provided through the ATS Export Support Grant has helped ATS Alumni member Flip Screen Australia Pty Ltd to expand exports of its equipment in the UK, the US and New Zealand, and to win its first order in South Africa.

Fluffy Spider Technologies

The alliance between ATS member Fluffy Spider Technologies Pty Ltd and Taiwan-based design and manufacturing company Zylux Acoustic Corporation has lead to its first outcome: the Rich Internet Appliance Reference Design.

Acoustica

ATS Alumni member Acoustica Pty Ltd produces sound control reduction systems for a broad range of industry sectors. In late 2008, the company’s QuietWave sound absorbing building product was a finalist in the grand final of the ABC New Inventors television program.

TigerSpike

ATS member TigerSpike Pty Ltd provides a range of strategic, creative and technical digital services in the mobile and online technology areas. The company won the Best Mobile Entertainment Award at the 2008 annual Mobile Marketing Awards held in Sydney.

E-Nose

ATS member E-Nose Pty Ltd has developed chemical sensors that can continuously detect and monitor in real time, minute traces of chemicals in the air. The process has application in the environmental pollution monitoring, security, and medical diagnostics sectors.

IBA Health

ATS Alumni member IBA Health Group Ltd is Australia's largest listed health information technology company. The company has announced that its iSOFT business in Spain has won contracts with two regional healthcare services valued at $5.79 million. iSOFT will develop clinical and patient management systems for one of Spain’s most important autonomous regional communities.

Netcat.Biz
NSW local government authority Mid-Western Regional Council has selected ATS member Netcat.Biz Pty Ltd Web Content Management (WCM) software and consulting services to facilitate a knowledge management strategy for the council. The strategy has been initiated in order to capture, classify, manage, and distribute the vast amount of information available within the council.

Change in Export Market Development Grants

Businesses now incurring export promotion expenditure in the 2008-09 grant year, and intending to apply for the Australian Government's Export Market Development Grants from 1 July 2009, should be aware of key changes including:

• an increase to the maximum grant by $50,000 to $200,000
• lifting the maximum turnover limit from $30 million to $50 million
• reducing the minimum expenditure threshold by $5000, to $10,000
• allowing costs of patenting products overseas to be EMDG eligible

NEW MEMBERS
Nubian Water Systems Pty Ltd

The "OASIS Biological Greywater Treatment System" technology, developed by Silverwater-based Nubian Water Systems Pty Ltd has been accepted for membership. The OASIS system combines the principles of adsoption, oxygenation and UV disinfection into a small scale system for domestic use that converts grey water into water suitable for activities such as irrigation, clothes washing and toilet flushing. The system is available locally, and the company has sold units to markets in the US, Cyprus, France, the UAE and Israel.
